Located in Waukesha, Wisconsin, the Generator Technician is responsible for load testing, preventative maintenance and repairs to various major brands of diesel and natural gas generators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all Safety procedures and policies
  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance and repair on major brands of generators
  • Research component datasheets when necessary to distinguish operational characteristics and functional Inputs/Outputs
  • Schedule and performance preventative maintenance
  • Purchase necessary parts for repairs and PM
  • Perform load testing
  • Perform administrative duties as necessary
  • Adhere to all company policies, values, procedures and business ethics

Desired Competencies

  • Technical degree or certification a plus
  • Positive attitude and excellent customer relationship skills
  • The ability to set goals and accomplish them
  • The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work with little supervision

Education Requirements

  • 2 year Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is highly desired
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as a Generator Technician
  • Clean driving record and valid license
  • Knowledge of major makes of generators and the associated engines
